Pearls of the Baltic Sea – Tallinn, St. Petersburg & Helsinki
This is your chance to visit 3 of the most beautiful cities on the Baltic Sea shores – Tallinn, Helsinki and St.Petersburg. Our 7 days programme will introduce you to all three of them at different angles. You will see Tallinn´s 13th century Old Town, our President´s home in a 18th century baroque palace and the famous Song Festival Grounds. On the second day you will take a boat trip to Helsinki, the capital of Finland – it’s just 80 km from Tallinn! You will have a panoramic tour of the city and also have some time for shopping, before returning to Tallinn. The third day will be for travelling – a bus ride to St Petersburg, where you will see all the most important sites that this amazing Russian city has to offer.

Day 2: Tallinn
After breakfast 3-hours city sightseeing tour in Tallinn including a visit of Kadriorg palace. A bus tour introduces Kadriorg Park and the 18th century baroque palace of Peter the Great, Convent of St Bridget in the Pirita suburb and the famous Song Festival Ground. The walking tour gives an introduction to the historical heart of Tallinn, which especially during the 15th century was a rich and prosperous town of Hansa merchants. You will see the upper Old Town – the Dome Hill (Toompea) with the Toompea Castle, the seat of the Estonian Parliament, Alexander Nevski Cathedral which is the 19th century symbol of the Tsar’s power in Estonia, viewing platforms with breathtaking views to the city and Town Hall Square in the lower Old Town that features the gothic Town Hall from 13/14th century – one of the oldest in Northern Europe.
Free afternoon to explore the city on your own or you can take the optional 2-hours tour to the Estonian Maritime Museum´s Seaplane Harbour that was a nominee for the European Museum of the Year Award 2014. A great experience for eveybody – an around-the-world journey on the Yellow Submarine, an aquarium, games, a cafeteria, the harbour, and many more exciting things to see and do both indoors and outdoors.

After breakfast transfer to the harbour for a daytrip to Helsinki, the capital of Finland. It takes 2,5-3 hours to reach Helsinki by ferry. Helsinki 3-hours city sightseeing starting from the harbour. The tour consists of the main sights of Helsinki – the “Daughter of the Baltic Sea”. The tour takes you to the open Market place and on the neoclassic Senate Square with the elegant Lutheran Cathedral from year 1852. The tour goes by the Esplanade shopping streets to the park area where most of the embassies are situated, then to the ship yards. Ship construction is one of the Finnish main industries. Many cruise ships and ice breakers have been built at this ship yard.
The tour continues on the main street called Mannerheimintie, where are located the Parliament House, the National Museum, the Opera house and the Finlandia Hall designed by the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. The tour goes by the Olympic Stadion, the scene of the Olympic Games in 1952. You will visit the unique Temppeliaukio Church blasted into solid rock. The tour includes a visit to the Sibelius Park where you can see and photograph the monument of 527 steel pipes, which honors the great Finnish composer Jean Sibelius.
After the sighseeing free time for shopping or discovering the town on your own. Transfer to the harbour. Buffet dinner on board including beer, white and red wine, and soft drinks.
In Tallinn transfer from the harbour to a hotel. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 4: Tallinn-St.Petersburg (370 km)
After breakfast departure via Narva to St.Petersburg. Narva is a border city with Russia and has the only location in Estonia that offers an unobstructed view of Estonia’s neighbour Russia.
Narva was once called the “Baroque pearl of the Baltic Sea” but was almost completely destroyed in 1944. It was almost completely rebuilt and that is why today the city is dominated by Soviet architecture. Short sightseeing and lunch in Narva. Border crossing, arrival in St.Petersburg. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.
Day 5: St.Petersburg
After breakfast panoramic City tour (no inside visits). St.Petrsburg is a city of palaces and museums, broad avenues and winding canals. Often called the Venice of the North, it is situated on over 40 islands which are interconnected by an astounding 342 bridges.
In the afternoon visit to the world-famous Hermitage Art Museum. Housed in five buildings along the Neva River embankment, the Hermitage boasts a vast collection of Egyptian, Greek, Ancient Roman, Oriental, Western European Art, and Applied Arts.
Optional: boat cruise 1 hour.
Dinner and overnight at a hotel.
Day 6: St.Petersburg
After breakfast visit to St. Petersburg’s most famous and popular visitor attractions, the palace and park at Peterhof (also known as Petrodvorets), often referred to as “the Russian Versaille”.
Return to the city and visit of St.Peter and Paul´s Fortress and St.Isaac´s Cathedral. The foundation of the Peter and Paul´s Fortress in May 1703 is considered to be the birthday of city of St. Petersburg. The Peter and Paul´s Cathedral is the official burial place of the Romanov Royal family.
St. Isaac’s Cathedral was originally the city’s main church and the largest cathedral in Russia.

Day 7: Departure from St.Petersburg
Transfer to the airport with bus and guide escort.
